Whaler 17’ (90 HSP) Orientation Guide
- For every hour the engine is running, there is a $10.00 fuel charge (Dock Staff will check Meter prior to your departure)
- There is a 6 person maximum on this boat.
- The boundary for this vessel is 300 yards/meters offshore. No beaching the boat, and please avoid kelp. Please make sure you return by 4:30 p.m. (Fall / Winter) & 5:30 p.m. (Spring / Summer).
- You may choose to pay an early board fee of $135.00. This enables you to get the key to the boat the day before and allows you to leave as early as you'd like on the day of your rental. If this is done, we will not start your rental time until 9:00 a.m. (Giving you some bonus rental time if you leave before 9:00 a.m.).
- To operate live bait tank, make sure you have at least one battery turned to ON, then push the bait switch down. Make sure the bait drain is covered / screwed in, and that the bilge pump is functional (either on auto or manual). Remember to only fill the bait tank with 1/2 scoop of live bait, or else the bait will suffocate and die.
- To before turning ignition key on to run the motor, please turn battery switch to BOTH "Batteries 1 & 2".
- There are fishing pole holders for 8 poles.
- The GPS is also a Fish Finder that can gauge water temperature.
- The anchor has 200' of rode and 25' of chain.
- The large cooler can also act as seating for two.
- The bilge pump (auto or manual) needs to have at least one battery turned to ON in order to be functional.
- When you want the engine to be OFF, still make sure the battery selector switch is on battery 1 or 2.
- WE REQUIRE THAT YOU UTILIZE THE RED DEAD MANS CLIP BECAUSE OF THE EXTREME SPEED OF THIS VESSEL.
